Employee Spotlight Barbara Thomas

This month’s employee spotlight is on the wonderful Barbara Thomas.  Barb is located in our Taos office and new-mexico-1804590_1280has been with Brown & Brown for almost 23 years.  She has even had the pleasure of meeting Hyatt Brown when he came to Taos.  Because she is so active in the community, Barb has become the office liaison for many community organizations.

As Barb says, she is a person of the sixties, so Taos is the perfect community for her and her husband of 52 years.  Along with her husband, she has one daughter and son-in-law and one gran
dson.  Besides her work at Brown & Brown, Barb also curates art shows, is a textile artist, and makes teepees in her spare time.

Employee Spotlight Tambra Nash

tambra-nash-Brown & Brown InsuranceThis month’s employee spotlight is on our wonderful Tambra Nash.  She has been in insurance for 22 years, working her way up from a receptionist all the way to our Operations and Regional Leader.

Tambra has been married for 33 years and has 3 sons, with one still at home in high school.  Her favorite place to be is outdoors.  She loves going to the lake, camping, biking, skiing and going to football games.  Most recently, she has taken up indoor rock climbing.  Though she is still just learning, she is having a blast doing it.

While she prefers to be productive away from the home, her favorite things at home are her husband’s cooking, reading a lot of books, and watching the Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead.

Tambra is the glue that holds our office together, and we are so glad that she was selected to share a little bit about herself this month!

Employee Spotlight Debra Blighton

This month’s employee spotlight is on Debra Blighton.  Debra is in our commercial department and has been in insurance for over 32 years.  Here’s a bit about her in her own words:

Debradebra-blighton returned to Albuquerque in October 2014 after a 8 year absence. She, like Georgia O’Keefe found the spiritual aspect of the area compelling and followed her desire to return. She loves all things “New Mexico”; The Jemez, Nob Hill, Sandia Peak, Tent Rocks, La Luz, the colour of the sky at sunset, the art, the culture, and of course the food. She will welcome her first grandchild in April and is over the moon with happiness.

In her spare time, Debra stages houses for a local Real Estate agent, hikes the local trails, and enjoys her family and friends.
